Join the fight against chronic homelessness!

VICTORY! The San Diego City Council Voted to Fund the SDCC Shelter Through March 2021. On Tuesday, January 26, 2021, the San Diego City Council voted unanimously to extend the San Diego Convention Shelter, Operation Shelter to Home, through March 2021. This was our goal from the very start and we are ecstatic to see these efforts be recognized and put into action. Thank you all for signing/sharing our petition which has reached nearly 130,000 signatures. Also a huge thanks to those who submitted public comments and pressured city officials to take action to help those in a homeless situation, especially during this pandemic!

Welcoming Our New Volunteer Service Navigators!

Welcoming Our New Chapters!

This quarter, our Director of Recruitment, Geetha Chandroth, has officially recruited teams to start three new chapters at UC Santa Barbara, University of Oregon, & UC Irvine! Their boards are gearing up to launch into chapter operations in the Winter quarter and are currently creating resource guides for for their communities! We are so excited to have these teams join our family! Here’s to a HUGE welcome to them!

Thank you to our Supporters!

We would like to give a BIG thank you to the supporters in our communities and everyone who mobilized in such a short time to donate to Michael’s cause and help relief his family’s emergency situation. With permission to share his story, after months of being unable to find housing, Michael and his family found a rental unit that is awaiting an inspection from the Housing Commission. Before they could move in, however, all their funds were used up and needed support from our community to fund a motel for 5 days. The money raised was used to buy them one week of motel vouchers while they waited for the Housing Commission to inspect their new rental unit. We are now happy to hear that their situation has been resolved and they are moving into their new property on Tuesday!!

Warm regards,
